Podcast Topics

Firstly, check out this Instagram post from the World Organization of the Scouting Movement; it's a record-setting human fleur-de-lis.

Ken and Colin discuss the kickoff of another year of Scouting, and the importance of holding a parent information night for the parents of the youth who comprise the membership of your group.

Shout-Outs

By request (because we will totally do shout-outs on behalf of listeners): Scouter Eric from the Northern Lights Medical Venturers wants to give a shot-out to Alberta Health Services (AHS) for their generous donation of a retired ambulance to the MedVents. It's not new, but it's a significant upgrade for the MedVents even so, and it's very generous of AHS to donate something as expensive as an ambulance to further Vocational Scouting in the province.

And, again, by request, Kristine wants to give a big shout-out to “all the Beavers who attended Damboree” last June. She notes that “the obstacle course was challenging, and perhaps the most challenging part was climbing over the net. But every single Beaver in attendance tried their best and attempted to make it through all of the obstacles. Special thanks to the Scouters and parents who helped with encouraging through the kids through the course!”
